Kya Publishing Forms Partnership with Author Wilmont St. Cyr (Barbados)

TORONTO, ONT (March 2022) - Toronto publishing and communications company Kya Publishing will be joining creative forces with Barbados-based author Wilmont St. Cyr to present promotional and cultural activities over the upcoming months, and to encourage the international reading and sharing of texts.

The author of two published books, Fields of Death (2015) and The Vault (2021), Wilmont's detailed and historical literary writing style is reflective of his life experience coupled with his passion for knowledge. His works are to be used as a catalyst to not only highlight the stories of Barbados, but also to recognize the influence of his home island both locally and internationally.

"Wilmont has been a long time supporter of Kya Publishing, and we strongly believe in his storytelling abilities, historical acumen, and literary vision," said SM Robinson. "He has a unique and informed way of expressing untold stories of Barbados and Caribbean history, and we look forward to sharing his voice with our network and beyond."

Kya Publishing will support the launch of Wilmont's novel "The Vault" with a virtual session, moderated by Kenyan author Mutendei Nabutete, featuring readings and discussions on Caribbean history, culture, and the themes of his novel. The launch will take place on Sunday, May 15, 2022 and registration is free. All are welcome to attend!

TUBookExpo (Toronto Urban Book Expo) Returns Virtually for 2021

TORONTO, ONT. (July 2021) - For the second year in a row, the Toronto Urban Book Expo will take place virtually, providing a series of workshops and presentations for authors, and online readings. FIND YOUR VOICE // Online Writing Workshop - September 30

TORONTO, ONT (September 2023) - Toronto publishing and communications company Kya Publishing is co-sponsoring the upcoming Find Your Voice  writing workshop presented by the TU Book Expo, Incarcerated Voters of Ontario, and sponsored by the Toronto Arts Council . The first of three online workshops will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm via the Zoom platform. Registration is free, and available through TUBookExpo.com . Find Your Voice was first introduced as a special session at the Myseum Intersections festival in April 2022 ( Confinement and Contagion ). September will be the sixth edition of the workshop, that continued to run in the fall of 2022 until winter 2023. Additional sessions are scheduled for October 28 and November 25 of 2023.
