“I write contemporary Canadian Urban Fiction, which is a
genre that is relatively new in the Canadian publishing scene,” said Robinson, who has recently self-published her
ninth novel through Kya Publishing, Carnival
Spotlight. “It is an honour for me to be
recognized for this style of writing, in the same category as my peers from
other genres, and an honour to share the coming-of-age story of my character
Symone on a larger platform.”
